Our Story
Rhubarb & Ginger was founded in 2021 by Stephanie, born from a genuine love of grazing and a vision to bring elevated, luxury catering to the South West.
Stephanie’s passion for food began early, inspired by a Leiths Food and Wine course that focused on entertaining, presentation, and the joy of sharing food. She later studied at the University of Aberdeen, earning a Master’s degree in Management, Enterprise and Innovation—providing the business foundation behind the brand’s thoughtful growth.
After returning to the South West and spending many years in retail management, Stephanie’s vision evolved further. Following the birth of her second child, and with the support of her husband Tom—who now leads our bar services—she took the leap to grow Rhubarb & Ginger full time. Together, they built a family-run business rooted in creativity, care, and a shared commitment to exceptional hospitality.
What began as a passion for beautifully presented food has grown into a catering experience designed to bring people together—creating relaxed, memorable, and effortlessly stylish moments that guests love to gather around and share.
We carefully source the finest quality produce from trusted local suppliers, celebrating fresh, seasonal ingredients wherever possible. From artisan cheeses to thoughtfully chosen accompaniments, every element is selected for its flavour, quality, and provenance.

For our mobile bar, we’ve invested in durable polycarbonate glasses that are safe, sturdy, and fully reusable, combining style with an eco-conscious approach.
